4 Core Ways to Earn
Direct Sales Commission
Earn 25% consultant commission on standard orders sold through your direct efforts. For rural school donations and other discounted bulk orders, the handbook sets commission at 10%. Depending on the sale type, you either collect the full retail amount and remit the net value, or Oasis pays your commission after receiving school payment.
Monthly Mentoring Bonus
You can start sponsoring new teachers immediately. Once you have mastered the concepts and become an ambassador, you can earn up to a 3% mentoring bonus on mentees\’ sales in months where you personally sell at least 150 copies.
Professional Fees
Certified consultants can earn workshop facilitation fees and additional income for impact-assessment visits. Schools often pay for guided-reading workshops, and NGOs or rural-school sponsors may fund ongoing support visits by experienced consultants.
Personal Sales Bonus
The handbook includes a monthly personal performance bonus of 1% to 2% whenever your direct sales equal or exceed 750 copies. Higher ranks also receive rank-specific override and transport benefits as their teams grow.

💡 Average earning: The handbook estimates average daily sales of 10 to 20 copies, with many literacy consultants making about UGX 15,000 per day plus bonuses. Your actual income depends on time, territory, and consistency.
How the Monthly Bonuses Work
Personal Sales Bonus
Sell at least 750 copies in a month and you unlock a personal performance bonus of 1% to 2% on direct sales, depending on the applicable plan level.
Mentoring Bonus
Once you have mastered the concepts and moved into ambassador-level leadership, you can earn up to 3% on mentees\’ sales in months where you personally sell at least 150 copies.
Sponsor Bonus & Overrides
The handbook also notes a 6% bonus on personal mentees\’ sales in months where you sell at least 100 copies, plus rank-based overrides and transport allowances as your network grows.
📌 Mentoring is open: There are no territories for mentoring new Literacy Consultants — you can sign up anyone from around the country, and you can sponsor new people as soon as you sign up.
How You Get Paid
School Visits
Customers pay you the full retail value of items purchased. You deduct your commission and pay Oasis the net value.
Bulk School Purchases
The school pays Oasis directly. Oasis then calculates and pays your commission into your bank account.
Monthly Overrides
After month end, Oasis calculates all override commissions for your Personal Team Sales and deposits them by the 15th of the following month.
Commission Statement
You receive a full commission statement by email each month explaining every amount due to you.
📌 Note: All overrides, bonuses, and awards are paid on net sales after your account is cleared to a zero balance. Net means retail sales minus commission earned. The handbook also notes that discounted programs such as school purchases, CSR, fundraisers, and the Rural Literacy Program are paid at 10% commission.
